The Covid-19 situation regulative has been stable today, at least without any big changes in regulations infecting our Logistics business.
There are still strict border crossing regulations, but our drivers in business are still part of exceptions from regulations and are free to do their necessary work.
From this weekend, the restrictions also created problems for ferries like Fjord Line Color Line etc. (passenger ferries) and they have the last days cancelled their daily routing to and from Stavanger.
Fjord Line have luckily made change in their plan, and will make 2 departures from/from Stavanger until further notice (from 7 to 2 per week) for cargo sailing.
Also Logi Trans are in dialog with other carrier that may set up new routing to make sure our business can run as close to normal as possible.
There will be some challenges with normal lead time for delivery, can and will affect the cost, but we work all day, every day to keep the service level you normally expect from us!
IMPACT TO OUR SERVICE:
We see that with constant cancellations and layoffs in the airlines, the air freight will naturally be affected. From Monday 16.03 at 0800 there is strict restrictions on traveling in and out of Norway at all our airports! Domestic traffic will go as normal. The consequence of this will be reduced capacity of air cargo on passenger aircraft. Currently, freight is still operating as normal and it is being considered to increase freight capacity on stretches of need, while many scheduled aircraft carrying cargo are canceled. Closing the boundaries for travelers from Europe will dramatically reduce capacity on scheduled flights, and this will create some challenges for the cargo flow to and from the United States by air! There may also be restrictions in individual countries regarding landing, for example Saudi Arabia. closed for all international flights starting Sunday and initially 2 weeks.
Logi Trans have high competence and network to handle all sort of airfreight, charter service, crew change and all other logistics needs you may have in this special situation – please feel free to contact us at email@example.com
Overseas capacity is somewhat reduced due to reduction in volumes and closed ports / borders.
Furthermore, the rates are under pressure and capacity shortages can result in higher rates than has been the case lately.
Shortsea run as normal pr. today.
Logi Trans have high competence and network to handle all sort of sea-freight, part-charter, rig-move, charter service, and all other logistics needs you may have in this special situation – please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Europe also has strict regulations, and some of the suppliers/customers have made their own strict regulations and some also closing off their facilities.
The European boarders are still open for cargo traffic.
As said earlier, Logi Trans have good set-up to handle any of these challenges, and we will do our best to meet your expectations and needs at all times.

Most of the traffic Nationally run as normal.
Some municipalities in Norway have imposed restrictions on persons who have stayed in infected areas in Norway after 10.3.
Some exemption rules have been introduced – including exemption from driving and rest time rules and exemptions from drivers’ working time regulations.
The exceptions are given for what is defined as transport of articles related to life and health. This is defined for the following modes of transport:
- Food distribution and related industries, including fuel distribution
- commodity Transportation
- Animal feed and transport of live animals
- Transport of medicines and medical equipment
- Distribution of equipment to hospitals and other public institutions
These rules may have consequences for our ability to carry out transport assignments to or from these municipalities, but until now we understand that transports can proceed as normal if they take necessary precautions.

The Norwegian Customs authorities, reports that all customs offices, with the exception of Drammen, are still open and in full business.
The border towards Sweden is also open for normal traffic. The border towards Russia is still open on the Norwegian side, but Norwegian citizens are not allowed to enter Russia.
On the Norwegian side, no special measures have been introduced related to cross-border crossing. There are also no restrictions on e-commerce.
There are not any specific measures that challenge imports of goods from so-called risk countries.
We will need to look at every transport individually for the individual impact, and we will do our best to meet your expectations and needs at all times.
